Messrs. Clayton Dewandre Ltd.,
Titanic Works,
Lincoln.

Dear Sirs,

Dewandre Vacuum Servo.

This letter confirms the arrangements made with Mr. Edge on his visit to these works today: that is to say, you will send us a wooden model of the proposed servo to enable us to fix it in a suitable position on our car, and arrange levers, etc; and you will also send us copies of the calculations determining the size of the servo.

When the design of the servo has been decided, it is essential that we should have your price for it in batches of 100. As the price of materials, etc. is as high now as it is likely to be, we should not expect an increase on this price when, or if, we decide to go into production with this servo motor.

We must also know the cost of the sample servo before we definitely order same, so that we can get the expenditure approved.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
