"SS{S. Smith}" RADIATOR

We have made some comparisons between 23-EX and a Standard Phantom Chassis with regard to loss of water.

Each radiator was filled to half-way up the outlet pipe i.e. the usual filling level.

The SS{S. Smith} takes 6 gallons 6 pints, the Phantom 6 gallons 3 pints.

Each Chassis was raised to boiling point, and was run in this condition for 10 minutes at a 1000 revs.

The water was then allowed to cool, and the quantity of water required to bring it up to the original level was put in. The SS{S. Smith} had lost 5 pints of water, and the Phantom 7 pints.
