With reference to the Remax Bonnet Fasteners used on above chassis, there has been a few cases reported of failure of the rivet securing the handle to the plunger, allowing same to come adrift. (sample failure herewith). It will be noted that a brass rivet is used, which apparently is not strong enough, BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} suggests you write the makers in this connection, pointing out that the rivet should be in steel. BY/CS. | ||
