- 2 - It is necessary to point out that some disturbance of balance can be effected in the act of fitting the cover - that is to say, if the cover is not correctly adjusted on the rim a sufficient eccentricity may result to materially affect the balance. We propose to adopt your suggestion of providing three dummy bolts symmetrically spaced in relation to the valve - the dummy bolts will have hollow domed heads capable of containing small lead Washers by means of which the closest adjustment of balance can be made without providing anything unsightly on the rim. We trust that this proposition will meet your requirements and we wouldlike to defer for the moment the final agreement as to the balance limits, but we have no doubt that we can agree these to the satisfaction of your technical Staff. Yours faithfully, FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO. LTD. W.H.Paull. Development Supt. | ||
