We have from time to time suffered considerable inconvenience owing to letters being delayed between the time that they leave our Outward Basket and the time they are received by the addressee. The letter referred to by Mr. Perry, a copy of whose letter is attached for your information, was put in our Outward Basket before 4 o'clock on Thursday 21st. and was not posted until the 27th. To obviate such difficulties in the future we propose to post all important letters ourselves. We should be glad therefore if you would supply us with the necessary stamps on request.
