-2- Contd. over 100 amperes for 4.23 minutes in the first case, and 3.24 minutes in the second case, the time reckoned being, not the total time elapsing, but the actual time on contact. After this, it was recharged and discharged on a recording instrument; the current at the start was about 10 amperes and the discharge was allowed to continue until the slope of the curve made a sudden change in the downward direction, this point corresponding to about 10.2 volts on the terminals at 8.4 amperes discharge, the time to attain this point being 4.60 hours. Altogether the performance has been less good than the average performance of other batteries we have tested. Yours faithfully, | ||
