Reverting to a fabric coupling and the exhaust system for 'SS' cars due to faults.

X7770 X7230 X7305 It is most probable that we shall have to revert to the fabric coupling between the engine and gearbox on these cars. Certain faults have arisen which so far we have only been able to overcome by fitting the fabric coupling. We therefore recommend the Works should go slowly on the parts affected. Exhaust system. Although the exhaust system instructed for the S.S. is the best we know of at the moment, we do not think it should be looked upon as the final scheme. It is certain that we shall have to make some improvement to this. Therefore we think the Works should be instructed not to get too far ahead with these parts. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
