Continuation Sheet No. 1. From F.{Mr Friese} M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Aspin & Co. Ltd., Bury. load and a cooling fan absorbing approximately 10 H.P. The barometer at the time was below normal and the temperature slightly above normal. Incidentally, this Engine ran with a very hot induction system, which also somewhat reduces the B.M.E.P. on account of lowering the volumetric effeciency. With an Engine of our latest design, using reasonable induction temperatures, we can obtain B.M.E.P's up to 160 at standard atmospheric temperature and pressure conditions. You may be interested to know that the 4¼ x 5 four Cylinder Engine has now completed 1,000 power hours, the performance being exactly the same as after 200 hours. I am looking forward to hearing from you in the near future when I would be pleased to visit you to discuss the matter thoroughly. In the meantime, Regards. Yours sincerely, per pro F.{Mr Friese} M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} ASPIN & CO. LTD. F.{Mr Friese} M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Aspin MANAGING DIRECTOR. P.S. Since your last visit we have considerably expanded employing now 170 personnel and complete new plant. We therefore have more facilities available. | ||
