In this case the actual strength of the mixture need not be very exact as long as it is rich enough. It can, as you have experienced in the past, be diluted by the main throttle, should it appear to be too rich. This, however, would require some little care in handling.

With reference to the induction system, we assume that except for the cracking of the induction pipe, the present induction system is about as good as we can arrange it. We hope to despatch to you to-day one or two modifications, in addition to the one already sent. If, however, you can find some means of preventing unequal expansion breaking the present type, we shall be very pleased to use it, as it is because we do not seem to be able to find anything simpler that promises to be effective.

We are also altering the carburettor so that we can fit a silencer to both intakes.
