To Sr. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.De. re Wind Tunnel Tests on Vanvooren Bentley. 1380 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}17/E17.11.37 I am in receipt of Sr21/Dn15.11.37. This matter has been further discussed. As mentioned in Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E12.11.37, to which you refer, the overdrive gearbox is an essential part of the scheme in question. This is not yet available and at the moment we do not know when it will be. After discussing the matter we have come to the conclusion that we had better let the matter drop. We do not want to damp your enthusiasm but at the same time we feel quite sure that in the end such a car as is projected would cause us more trouble than the order was really worth and we doubt if it would lead to any substantial increase in sales.
