"W" SERIES.

Owing to the fact that the engine does not run as sweetly with the "pot" type of coupling between the clutch and the gear box, H is very anxious that we should bring in the fabric coupling in place of same.

To do this, it is necessary to adopt the latest type starter for "S" Series.

As we shall sooner or later have to adopt the later type starter gear in order to be on the safe side for "W" Series it is absolutely necessary that we should order up 100 sets of all the material special to the new type starter including the gear ring on the flywheel and we should arrange for "W" Series that the crankcase should be of the type which would enable the starter carried on the engine to be fitted.

I do not wish to cancel any instructions which have been issued in regard to the use of the present type of starter, but merely to order up 100 sets of material of the R.A.C.II. starter proper so as to have same in hand in case we propose to fit this type of starter in the interests of quietness and sweet running.
