April 19 27 Handwritten: X4038 Handwritten: Tank No 74720 Handwritten: F74781 Arrgt Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Expl. Dept. Derby. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 27th. inst. with regard to the calibration of the latest type oval tank which Mr. Moss took at your Works recently, we have full calibration particulars but shall be obliged if you will furnish a tank drawing as we do not appear to have one. The unit delivered for Mr. Day will not be suitable without checking after we have received the drawing, when we shall have full particulars and will furnish you with a complete new outfit. It is our impression that the oval tank recently calibrated by Mr. Moss on car EX12 did not have a section cut out to clear the back axle, whereas the oval tank drawing in our possession (F75248 of 20/12/26) does show this cut-out. Awaiting the favour of your reply, Yours faithfully, H.M. HOBSON LTD. For T.P. Searight Director. | ||
