It will be remembered that at the Conference it was stated that we had had the drawings for these parts for a week, though we queried this at the time. We actually received the drawings the evening of the day after the Conference. There are some awkward parts that have to be machined out of the solid. It would help us a great deal if the actual position of drawings could be known when these are being discussed in Conference, because in the present case it is almost impossible to keep our promise of starting the Bentley on its 10,000 miles test in France on Monday, if we are to get these Jack Pads fitted.
