19.8.21. PRESENT POSITION OF DYNAMOS AND MOTORSOF VARIOUS MAKES FOR "GOSHAWK II". Make. Dynamo. Starter Motor. Brolt. Messrs. Brolt have submitted prints of performances of standard machines, which are at present awaiting Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 's consideration as to mechanical suitability, and are having our consideration as to electrical suitability. Lucas. This is now awaiting Messrs.Lucas completely, all points having been settled. All outstanding points have been settled and except that Lucas' are awaiting certain parts from us which are practically on the point of being despatched, this item is also awaiting Messrs. Lucas. Rotax. Messrs.Rotax are proceeding with this machine and presumably endeavouring to make it meet our specification electrically, it is up to them completely. The question of the Rotax motor awaits a reply to our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 4/T7.6.21 (See EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T15.7.21 addressed to E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ) Smith. Completely up to Messrs. Smith who are proceeding and have promised to submit curves of performance. Position exactly similar to that of Lucas motor. C.A.V. Messrs. C.A.V. have all particulars and the matter awaits them completely. Position exactly similar to that of Lucas motor. R.R. Awaiting By's instructions to Expl. Shop. but By. {R.W.
