X107. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MA.14.7.32. PEREGRINE CAMSHAFT. Further to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}7/MA.12.7.32. We can get very close to the recommended valve timing using a 106° angle between the cams and two of the existing inlet cam forms which give an average measured duration of 240 crank degrees. We suggest that we alter the existing inlet cam form :- (1) Reducing the duration of the toe to .007" and increasing its angle of slope slightly. (2) Increase the acceleration as far as the form will allow from the .007" lift to the .020" lift. With the altered forms we can then rapidly get a camshaft made and tested for power, slow running and silence. Diagram Labels: Ex, IN, .020, 38, 34 | ||
