x 308 To RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}, HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}9/KW.1.7.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Induction System. We wish to test the possibilities of using a 2 carburetter system instead of 4 on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III. Will you please go into the possibilities of adapting two pipes of the type we have been testing on 6 cylinders. The most successful pipe we have tried is shown on No.2614, which is exhaust-heated. The base plate can be water heated, if this arrangement could be adapted. For test purposes, a suitable steel plate could replace the existing manifold on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, on which would be mounted the 4 port pipe. The ports to be suitably siamesed, by fitting half round blanks behind the steel plate. Any modifications necessary to the top water pipes, etc., can be carried out in copper tubing, etc. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/C. T. Salt. | ||
