W. R.{Sir Henry Royce} PUTTERILL. 22, LLOYD SQUARE, CLERKENWELL, W.C. I. 'Phone: Clerkenwell 4390. X4117 To. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, 137 XJ. On arrival at Cricklewood I found the new front road springs already half fitted. These were finished off O.K. & the car tested on a previously used section of the Welwyn Bypass road. It was raining at the time & the road was in good condition except for two short patches. No high speed wobble was obtained but between 70 & 80 M.P.H. bad joggle was experienced when passing over the short patches previously mentioned. This would build into a wobble under worse conditions of road surface. The conditions of the car so far ascertained are as follows:- | ||
