4038 Expl: Dept: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rul/LG. 26th. Sept. 1928. Messrs. H.M. Hobson Ltd., 47-55 Acton Vale, London W.3. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Major Searight. We thank you for your letter of the 25th. inst. together with gauges and blueprints. At the moment we have three telegauges running, the nipples of which we have carefully inspected and the pipe lines of which have been dried. These are running and giving us no trouble. We do not know whether the cool weather is accounting for our present immunity from trouble, but our over-night losses are only about 1/4 gall. We therefore suggest, that until we definitely have further trouble which we cannot understand, you do not bother to come up here. We are trying to fit up all our cars with the latest type gauges and should therefore be obliged if you could let us have 3 balance line assemblies complete to K-S.162. The writer anticipates that he will be in Paris on Tuesday or Wednesday next week and should you be there the matter could be further discussed. Yours faithfully, We can assure you that from our end we are for the next week or so making a special point of Telegauge installations. | ||
