CANVAS RUBBER FAN BELTS.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} has expressed a wish that the Canvas Rubber fan belt should not be run choc-a-bloc for fear of overloading the belt.

We therefore recommend that on tests the spring should be tightened up choc-a-bloc and then slackened off half a turn or so of the adjustment, so that the belt will be virtually spring loaded and yet the fan will not be able to move about.

We shall be glad to hear that this gives satisfactory results on the average car going through test.
