Dear Mr Clark,

Your Brother tells me that he had a talk with you during the holidays on the subject of our process of "Deposition" on steel, I am quite sure that both from a scientific and a commercial point of view it is bound to interest both you and the Firm,

I am not sending you a sample of our work as that would really tell you very little, but what I would ask you to do is to send along to us some small (or large) part for treatment and when you receive it back from us for you to "try it out" in order to prove its value, Please let us know whether you require the part you send case hardened or not and also if we are to finish it to exact size or whether we are to leave it on the "full" side for you to finish,

I enclose copy of letter from one of the largest firms in the country and also a re-print from "The Commercial Motor"

Trusting that we may have the pleasure of hearing from you with instructions in the course of a few days

I remain
for THE ELECTRO-FERROUS ENGINEERING CO LTD
Ernest Chas. B. Sarelby
