BUMPER OVER-RIDERS.

Re your Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}10/AH.12.4.38.

We should be very interested to hear Ridlington's comments to Wilmot-Breeden producing the R.R. over-riders. However, we feel it is a slightly awkward position. Of course, Ridlington will have to realise soon that we cannot continue to buy bumpers from him, but I think it will upset him, and, in consequence, may not be too pleased for us to produce an over-rider to a design which is registered by him.

I should be very grateful if you could have a friendly talk with Ridlington. At the moment we are intending to alter the design of the over-rider slightly, but would probably leave it unchanged if Ridlington would allow us to fit the present over-rider without paying a Royalty.

We think it would be an advantage for Ridlington if our front bumpers were fitted with over-riders of the same shape as now, as this would enable him to match certain rear bumpers which are supplied by Coach-builders.

We are very interested to hear that you will be requiring some rear bumpers in batches of 75. Can you let me have any drawings of the required shape, I should expect the price to be about 35/- for such quantities ?

I shall look forward to discussing this question with you on the 28th.
