C. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} 61142 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}A/G.18.7.39. (MILOS B.60 and B.80 ENGINES. DYNAMO MOUNTING BRACKET. Because of the failure of the original bracket in running on the test bed, we have prepared K.B.1461 showing a revised bracket made by welding up to give increased life. The failure appeared to be due to the shaking of the dynamo in engine oscillation, in which circumstances, the rear end is more heavily loaded than the front end. We have stiffened up both. The bracket can be used for both 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Please instruct experimentally. There is a further, more simple alteration, which we shall probably send later. BA. | ||
