- 2 - BY.11/G.20.1.39. would therefore appear that we are risking another A.C.2 debacle, if we were to introduce AC.9 at this juncture. It has, of course, been tried out on experimental cars, but so had AC.2. The proposal therefore is that we face any scrap which is necessary to produce AC.7 for the 100 cars in 'M' series rather than risk trouble by using AC.9 for the main bearings; for the big ends AC.9 will still continue to be used.
