[Handwritten note] 1941 Pub Comp Dear Mr. Robotham, I am at present preparing the description of the Bentley Mark V chassis which we hope to publish in "THE AUTOMOBILE ENGINEER". As it is the most important chassis that we have dealt with for many years, I am most anxious that the description shall be worthy of the chassis and above all contain no errors. If I came down to Derby I was wondering whether you could possibly spare me say an hour in which to run over a number of points with you, checking up several design details on which I am in doubt. I know how very busy you must be, but I would do my best to fit in any time most convenient to you, either in the morning or afternoon at the Works, or, if you preferred, at some other place during the evening. If you could give me two or three days notice I could come down to Derby any day during the next fortnight, the earlier the better so far as I am concerned. Yours faithfully, J.S. Mercer Assistant Editor. | ||
