To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/MN.6.4.36. Re Bentley Body with Improved Room for Access. We have asked BY/Mtn. to have traced the design of body to give increased freedom of access to the front seat on the Bentley made by Messrs.Park Ward & Co. We will forward you the tracing as soon as available. This drawing shows narrower front wings and running boards, a wider body, and a more sloping screen pillar. A still wider body could be used if one fitted a 40" dashboard, the design for the casting of which has been made (LeC 4827), but the job was stopped as it was decided that no change in the design of the dashboard, however beneficial, could be made until B.3. The number of the Park Ward drawing is No.10937. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
