Mr. Clements, representative of Ferodo Ltd.,is leaving today for England after a further tour of this country.

I have had several conversations with him and in previous tours he has been most helpful in suggesting various specifications of brake linings in the case of Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars where brake squeaking has developed after certain mileage due to tropical conditions.

Mr. Clements very kindly offered to get in touch with the Derby Works to place before them his suggestions regarding the type of brake lining to be fitted for this country. I hope that this will be in order and I should be obliged if you would advise Derby that he will be calling there within the next month or so.

This trouble has not been of sufficient extent to have necessitated reporting to you, but there have been one or two cases where it has occurred, and the fitting of a different specification of liner for the conditions in this country has overcome any difficulty in this direction.
