contd :- -4- Improving the rear brake equalising shaft has also improved (2). (3) To overcome (3) we are reverting to the original direct rear braking and may find it necessary to reduce the leverage to the front in addition to balance the difference between front and rear linkage efficiency. We hope the foregoing resume of development work will explain the somewhat conflicting reports that have been made at different times on the behaviour of the S.S. braking system. It only remains to select the servo lining giving the best results and ensure that too much braking does not go to the front axle. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} | ||
