CHASSIS CYLINDER BLOCKS.

With reference to your H1/EJW.1/JM.{Mr Morley}17.10.40, will you please produce photographs of the deepest part of the worn portions, as suggested in your memo. This should be done on the non-plated block. We have already taken measurements every 1/8 of an inch down this bore (see attached graph) and we would like to know the characteristic shape of the maximum worn portion, which is of course the change over position of the top ring.
