Run over Six Hills course, without spring fitted in calorstat. Gave maximum temperature of approx. 85°C. for shutters to open under full speed conditions. Mean running temperature - (69 - 74°C.). 18-G-IV - Large Bore Engine. Run as above without spring fitted in calorstat. Gave maximum temperature of 90°C. for shutters to open under full speed conditions. Mean running temperature - 70 - 75°C. GAE-20. - Small Bore Engine. Run as above without spring fitted. Gave maximum temperature of 88°C. for shutters to open etc. Running temperature of approx. 72 - 76°C. GAE-20. Run as above with spring. Maximum temperature of 92°C. Running temperature of 80°C. | ||
