R.R. 235A (500 T) (S.D. 408. 26-4-17.) Bm. 2/156/13. x967 COPY. Barker & Co. Ltd., 66 South Audley Street, London, W.1. July 30th. 1919. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., London. W.1. Dear Sirs, RE OILING TROUBLES. We have recently had considerable trouble with oiling in yours and also other makes of cars. We have been using Prices "B" oil, and find that although the old oil is thoroughly cleaned out, and the oiling system looked over, and all new Prices' oil put in, that when the oil reaches a certain temperature it seems to separate, part being thick and part thin. The thick oil being unable to go through the gauge, and causing stoppages. We have had Prices' representative at our Works going into this matter, and shall be interested to know if you have been using this oil and have had similar trouble with it. We are, dear sirs, Yours faithfully, Barker & Co.(Coachbuilders)Ltd., Sgd. H.Y. Nutt. | ||
