To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/XT.3.3.33. PEREGRINE TEST BED UNIT. On 22.2.33. we send Peregrine No.4. unit to you to have the timing made 1 tooth earlier. We attach herewith copy of our note. On 3.3.33. the unit was returned to us with the timing as follows :- Valve Timing. I.O. 17° A.T.D.C. E.O. 17.5° B.B.D.C. I.C. 47° A.B.D.C. E.C. 15° A.T.D.C. As the testers are entirely dependent on the shop for alterations, and this is quite a big job, we should be glad if you would arrange that the timings are specifically checked before the units are returned to us. In this particular case we actually completed the fitting of the unit to the test bed before the error was discovered. Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
