Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 22nd, covering despatch of the 3¾% nickel steel bolts. These arrived too late to be fitted, the car left here on the 21st, inst., for its Contiential Tests. We took the precaution of making up ourselves a set of nickel steel bolts and fitted them to the Jack on the front axle, the rear jacks we think will be O.K. for this particular car with the ordinary standard bolts. We will advise you later as to the behaviour of the Jacks after the Continental test is completed; up to the time of the car leaving here they were satisfactory. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
