RADIATOR MATERIAL.

In an attempt to obtain a radiator material which could be produced free from blemishes which are giving us so much trouble, we have been discussing the matter with Wiggins & Company, the people who produce more nickel and nickel alloys than any other Company in this Country. They have altogether failed to make good with our ordinary material.

Our present suppliers, since Mr. Tait left them, have undoubtedly dropped back again, not from any want of desire on their part to arrive at what we aim at, but from want of capacity, as undoubtedly Mr. Tait supplied the necessary capacity to move them the amount beyond their present position to make a very marked improvement in regard to buffing blemishes.

We are negotiating one or two sources of improved material. One of them is Wiggins & Company, and the material is "Silveroid", which represents a 45% nickel alloy. We are sending you a supply of material sufficient to make up a radiator; we suggest that a radiator is made up, and when it is ready, submitted to me for inspection from the point of view of excellence of finish, and that afterwards it should be fitted on a car and run under normal conditions, special notice being taken as to whether the radiator appears to be more or less susceptible to tarnishing than our present material, as a result of exposure to normal climatic conditions.
