A.H. 48950 To Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}1/BE. 14.12.25. RE LONDON TRIALS CARS With reference to the two London Trials Cars which require the new Steering. This is a job that could be done more efficiently and more economically at the Works. To attempt to do this job whilst the Coachbuilders are working on the bodies would affect the progress of Body Makers and Fitters alike, as certain work is necessary both on Dashboard and Frame before the new Steering can be fitted. We understand the Riviera cars will not leave until some time in January, we should like Sales to let us know the actual date. If Sales will do this we can then make our own arrangements with the Coachbuilders as to when and where the Steerings will be fitted. If we are allowed to make our own arrangements we can fit these Steerings with the minimum delay to these cars and experimental work in general. Meanwhile, we are pushing on with a "C" and "D" type Steering in readiness for these cars. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} | ||
