Dear Sirs, With reference to the discussion between Mr. Robotham and Dr. Maybach at The Berlin Motor Car Show, we have pleasure in offering to you, as per enclosed description, the MAYBACH GEARBOX TYPE DSG 80, for bloc arrangement, with 5 forward and 1 reverse speeds, 4 of which are silent and operated from steering wheel, for vehicle engines with a total cylinder displacement up to 8 litres, output 150 HP, torque 52 mkg at n = 1600 r.p.m., as per installation plan Nr. 17304 (similar to section drawing Nr. 91216 in catalogue), with front and rear drive shaft, the front shaft being keyed, the rear shaft being tapered to be connected with the cardan shaft, with lever control for 1st forward and reverse speed; carter made of aluminium, without front nor rear cover, price ............................ RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 890.- each gearbox. As we are not fully informed about the general arrangement, we can not give you the prices for the front and rear cover of the gearbox. We shall however gladly make propositions in this connection if you will kindly fill up and return to us the enclosed form, if possible accompanied by a chassis drawing.
