Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} S RE NEW ARRANGEMENT OF HIGH TENSION WIRE WITH COIL CLOSE TO DISTRIBUTOR. We have had three cars running with this arrange- ment of ignition - 1 EX, 2 EX and 49-GB. Although we have not been able to appreciate any distinct gain with this arrangement we have found no disadvantage in it compared with the standard arrangement. We recommend that to carry the high tension wires a black fibre tube should be used. We have this arrangement now on 49-GB except that it is red fibre instead of black fibre. During our last visit to Mr. Royce we shewed him the fibre tube and he made no comment which would lead us to believe that we would prefer the wooden trough. The only comment he made was that the wires (in connection with the scheme on 49-GB should be taped where they leave the tube going to the coil. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
