Dear Sirs,

Thank you for yours of the 4th inst. (reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG.) and we note you give permission for Sir Reginald Ford to take up the matter of tyres with the Marajah of Pattiala, and a suitable letter has accordingly been written by this mail.

Doubtless, Sir Reginald will first get into touch with Mr. Fenn and will in due course report further with any recommendations he thinks it necessary to make.

We will, of course, advise you again immediately on receipt of his reply.
