To G.W. Hancock Esq.,
Hotel de France,
Chateauroux,
Indre, France.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}15/KW.12.11.34.

We have made a big effort on 21-G-IV and it will be leaving for France before the end of the week. We have had the steering ratio altered and the flywheel altered. We have fitted a silent fan.

We have not put Hancock hinged shoes on the rear because no parts are available. As the Standardisation Sheet has already been issued there is no particular urgency for this modification to be fitted.

We want you to start the test on the ordinary Castrol XL oil, when you have run 10,000 miles and the bearings appear to be in good condition we want you to run on Wakefield's CW oil. This is going to be our recommended Winter oil.

We note your report on the Cadillac, we are interested to hear how good it is on Belgian Pave.

When we send 21-G-IV over we shall send the Bumper Bar and dropped cross member with it, so that you can fit these to the Saloon car which Dr. is at present running and get an opinion on them over the pave roads.

As soon as 5-B-IV comes out you can repeat the test with the controllable dampers.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
