To CWB. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8950 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG16.7.28. X8950 X235 Y8450 We have despatched the hydraulic dampers and with them 3 sets of side steering tube springs of - 2000, 2500, and 3000 lbs/1" rating. They are marked respectively with labels A; B; and C; Sets B; and C; are purely experimental; they are very highly stressed and would undoubtedly break if run for any length of time. However as they are only meant to get an impression of the effect of very strong side steering tube springs, we think they will be quite satisfactory for your purpose. We recommend that you do not run any further than you can help. The 2000 lbs. springs are as on 15-EX and have therefore done 10,000 miles.
