LID{A. J. Lidsey} ROY{Sir Henry Royce} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3117. BY/Cgh.{W Clough}9/C.5.10.32. X3175. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has agreed that we should standardise as early as possible on the 40/50 HP. chassis, the D.W.S. jacks in place of the present type of screw jack. We understand that the Experimental Department are getting the makers of the D.W.S. jacks to modify them, in order to give increased ground clearance, and the Experimental Department are hoping to receive them at an early date. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} also wishes to know what the difference in cost will be with the new jacks as compared with the old type. Will you please let us have this information in order that we may pass same on to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, and will the Experimental Department please urge delivery of the modified jacks with a view to getting them approved quickly.
