To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten]: Y-217 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}8/MJ.6.10.33. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} tried the Essex Terraplane and we attach herewith copy of their reports on the engine of this car. The other features of the car are not of interest to us - we know them to be poor. Once we can get agreement that we are not going to attempt to produce another six cylinder engine for R.R. cars we can get rid of the Terraplane. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
