WING AND RADIATOR MOVEMENT - BENTLEY.

When Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} brought B-47-AE car up to Derby he complained of the amount of wing movement, and asked us to try making the radiator fixing more solid so as to reduce the wing movement.

We did this by replacing the bottom springs by rubber. On the road the radiator now jellied slightly, and the relative movement between wings and radiator therefore appeared less. From tests on the bump we know that this is only an optical delusion.

As Burpers complained on his car of wing movement we tried this scheme to satisfy him. He has since asked us to make the car standard again.

In our opinion the present arrangement is the most satisfactory, in which the radiator is quite steady on the road due to being allowed a large spring loaded movement.
