Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X 5410. BY/Cgh{W Clough}18/G.2.4.31. 20/25 HP. CHASSIS ROAD SPRINGS. With reference to the road springs which we are having converted by fitting an additional second plate, we have requested the Order Office to have these sent in to the Experimental Department, and should be glad if you would arrange for them to be tested on the bumping rig at your early convenience, as we have a large number of springs to be converted, and it would seem advisable to make sure that they are satisfactory before we get toomany fitted on cars in customers hands.
