We send herewith N.sch.2957., shewing some of the recent 'Japan' improvements in the clutch applied to the present standard, that is to say, the ferodo is riveted on the driven member, and the Phantom damping plate is employed instead of the twisted driven plate. We have also incorporated the washer adjustment instead of the existing lock nut.

This should be put in hand experimentally immediately, as R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishes to standardise this at the same time as the long frame.
