Chassis 34-EX.

Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}2/KW24.2.38.

I telephoned to your Department, and in your absence spoke to one of your colleagues concerning this chassis, asking you to advise us as soon as you can which parts of this chassis you advise should be changed before we sell it, having regard to the contents of your Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD{Frank Dodd - Bodies}9/MH{M. Huckerby}17.2.38.

Quite naturally we do not wish you to take off parts that could without any disadvantage pass into the hands of the customer. For instance, we cannot see that it matters very much that the dynamo is obsolete or not so long as it works, unless there is any technical reason why such a dynamo should not remain on the chassis. As to the crankcase being obsolete does this really matter ?

The position, of course, wants rather carefully considering, but we are very anxious to get on with the sale of this car and feel that this matter ought to be cleared definitely first.

There is also the question of cost involved in connection with any recommendations that you make. Can you therefore please let us have your early advice on this matter.

Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}
