PC.119 8.11.26. AUTOMATIC REGULATING SWITCH. (ORIGINAL UNIT) As in the previous case, this unit was first adjusted to operate at 14.5 volts (cold,18ºC). When heated up on 17.0 volts, however, the operating voltage was found to be 16.5, instead of about 16.0. It was therefore readjusted, while still in the hot condition, to operate at 16.2 volts, when the following observations were made :- When heated up on 17.0 volts the switch opens at 16.2 volts, closes at 11.7 " When cold (18ºC) it opens at 14.3 volts.
