To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to By/RD. 6092 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}4/JH.23.10.37. re C.A.V. Bosch Regulator Resistance Unit. In connection with the point raised as to whether the unit should be wound inductively or not, we understand that to wind it non-inductively would incur extra cost. From technical considerations, and test carried out on the bench, we conclude that the inductance of this unit under the worst conditions is negligible, and consequently the gain from winding it non-inductively would not justify any extra cost involved. We therefore recommend that this resistance be wound inductively. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} | ||
