To Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} X4290 EFCL/T5.3.25. SCINTILLA MAGNETOS AND DYNAMOS. X4290 X4187 In accordance with your telephone conversation of yesterday we are sending you along two Scintilla magnetos:- 1 type AG6-A No. 21523 1 type AM6-A No. 28531. Owing to the tests we have made on them, these are not in very good condition. We say this lest Messrs. Scintilla should complain that the magnetos have been badly treated; but this has not been the case in the first instance during the earlier tests of these. The other magnetos of theirs which we have are in order. As regards the dynamo, the fact of the matter is that owing to pressure of other dynamo work in connection with the development of RR. dynamos generally, we have not really been able to do anything with this up-to-date apparatus, since we received it in place of the old type. We will, however, now make a point of looking it over and deciding whether there are any new features which would render it worth while making tests on this, which would carry us any further than those we have previously made on the old type. Of this we will inform you in the course of a day or two. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} | ||
