(Owner of GLR-50) ------------------------------------- We recently sent up for the above to try our present demonstration Saloon, B.15.AE. and think that you would be interested in the following quotation from his letter : "I was very much impressed with the trial run you were good enough to afford me on your 3 1/2-litre Bentley saloon yesterday, and particularly as regards the springing and road holding, which with the performance and comparative silence makes for a car on the production of which you are to be congratulated. The only points on which I can suggest improvements are :- The position of the gear lever, which gets in the way of my leg and is too close to the seat cushion. The provision of two split reflector fog lamps, with feed switch in place of the present dipping device. There is a certain amount of drumming, which might be objectionable on a long run, and which is probably due to the metal roof or luggage container lid.{A. J. Lidsey} The most serious criticism I have to make is the tendency to skid on wet roads. This was very noticeable on the open car I tried at Derby, and I particularly wish to try the saloon on wet roads, but, unfortunately, the roads were dry when I tried it. " Mr. Hopps is considering the purchase of a new 3 1/2-litre Bentley. Bly{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales} | ||
