BODY FOR FHR. X. 8830

We have received the blue print of a Beatonson all-weather body by Barkers - Drawing No.SD.7085 - from Mr. Royce without any comments, so we presume that he does not wish to stop the work going ahead.

We attach herewith a specification drawn up on standard lines which we also sent him. The special features are :-

(1) Balloon tyres.
(2) Beatonson all-weather head with Barker modifications which we shall fix up as the job goes along.
(3) American scuttle ventilators.
(4) A special instrument board.

We would be glad if you would kindly pass this on to C. if you think all the details are O.K., and if he would please send the drawing and specification to Messrs. Barkers with an official order.

As we understand R.{Sir Henry Royce} will be back in England in about a fortnight we are rather anxious to be able to say that we have got his car in hand, and are therefore urging Derby to let us have a subframe.

No doubt you will arrange with Barkers to get into touch with Beatons, and then the writer would like to have an opportunity of holding a discussion between these two people with a view to producing the special head shewn on this drawing.

SEE ORIGINAL FOR SPECIFICATION.
